Having a favorite uncle who had a love for photography was a real inspiration to me when I was young.  He was a journalist with a large east coast newspaper and had a knack for capturing photos that weren't stiff or posed and told a great story.  In the early 80's I came to the Central Coast of California  for a summer vacation and absolutely fell in love with the area.   I purchased my first SLR camera and was in awe of the diversity of scenery within my camera's viewfinder.  I took photography classes at the local community college and spent many hours in the darkroom learning the potential of the camera and the developing process.  I was inspired by the talented instructors and fellow students and kept the dream alive by continuing to carry my camera with me on my travels throughout California and the East Coast primarily.  I am in awe of God's design in creating patterns, colors, beauty and even the ugly, the enigmatic and fearful parts of nature.  I am also intrigued by the uninhibited personalities of children and love to capture these moments for families to treasure.   Families are another unbelievable blessing from God and it is a joy to be able to gather people together so they can share the joy of their family in portraits, Christmas cards or loved ones overseas.  I am thankful for the opportunities to get a peek inside people's lives and personalities to help them tell their stories.  I also deeply appreciate the valor and sacrifice that the young men and women of our country endure for our freedom and I offer free sitting fees and a free 8 x 10 print for families with a member who is soon to be deployed in the military.    I am truly blessed that God has given me the opportunity to pursue my passion and I look forward to sharing my gift with you to help you preserve your most precious memories!
